Keep Calm & Reduce Bleeding

Keep Calm & Reduce Bleeding

Dental emergencies can turn an ordinary day into a stressful experience, but it's crucial to remain calm because your dentist is here to assist you. Start by taking a deep breath and assessing the situation. If there's any bleeding from your dental injury, use a sterile gauze strip to apply pressure to the affected area. Maintain the pressure until the bleeding stops or until you reach our office.

Control Swelling & Pain

Control Swelling & Pain

If you're experiencing pain or swelling, you can temporarily alleviate it using over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. However, avoid aspirin and similar blood-thinning medications, as they may hinder clot formation and make it more challenging to stop bleeding. In addition to medication, apply a cold compress to the cheek or lip near the affected area for relief.

I have had several appointments since writing this review. My teeth weren’t in the best shape due to avoiding dentists for so long (literal years). I’ve had two thorough cleanings and gum treatments. I had my wisdom teeth taken out. This is a BIG deal because of my dental anxiety and no other place/dentist has made me feel comfortable enough to do so. Dr. Patton called and checked up on me the following day. She just really, really cares for her patients.

During my second deep cleaning, Dr. Suki looked at an area of concern on the back of my two front teeth. She recommended some fillings and some possible cosmetic related work. I’ve had really bad past experiences with other dentists relating to cosmetic work on my front teeth. I was never really happy with the previous work and had just accepted how it looked. Dr. Suki listened to all my concerns, really listened. She reassured me, because I was really hesitant. Y’all, I cannot begin to explain how satisfied I am with her work. She really took her time. She went above and beyond. I am so, so, so happy with the cosmetic outcome!

I have been to many dentists but, Dr. Sarah Suki has by far been the best and most pleasant visit ever. She is extremely skilled and knew how to get to the root of my problems and fixed it. I will be a patient of Dr. Sarah Suki for as long as I need a dentist. Extremely detail orientated and has so much integrity and pride in her work. You are guaranteed to be treated right with the one and only Dr. Suki. I will be a patient of hers forever, whether she's working in Houston or any other city :)
